This afternoon, we decided to head to Bentonville to Crystal Bridges Museum. We are members, and haven't been as often as we'd like. A new exhibit, the Hudson River School, recently opened, and we wanted to go see it. We also wanted to explore the grounds some more. I love arriving at the museum and seeing it from above.
After we toured the Hudson River School exhibit (no photography allowed), we decided to have lunch at Eleven, the museum restaurant. It was delicious!
After lunch, we went outside to explore some of the trails and the sculptures. I saw on the museum's Facebook page that this 'LOVE' sculpture by Robert Indiana had recently been installed, and really wanted to see it.
Toby went back inside to view the American Encounters exhibit, which includes a couple of pieces on loan from the Louvre in Paris. We decided to take turns viewing the exhibit, and the other one would 'play' with Sophia. By this point, she was past looking at more paintings;) So, we walked a little further across a couple of the metal bridges, and took a couple of photos.
I went in and viewed the American Encounter exhibit, then we headed home. I actually didn't take any photos inside this time (other than at lunch). That's okay, though. We had a good time and really enjoyed experiencing the grounds of the museum. If you haven't been, you should go!
