I'm thankful for...

..the right to vote. On this election day, I want to remember to be thankful for this right to help choose those who govern our nation. I actually voted early yesterday. I arrived at the polling location, presented my ID, and was given a ballot. I was not harassed or pressured, and I had complete privacy--something which is not at all common in some countries.

I'm thankful to live in the United States where this right is valued and people are encouraged to participate in the democratic process. Please exercise your right and vote today!

Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” ~John Quincy Adams
