Sophia had her two-year old check up with her pediatrician yesterday. We got an excellent report. Her doctor is very pleased with the progress she has made in the last few months. She is healthy and happy (especially since we didn't have to get shots)! Sophia weighs in at 24 lbs. 6 oz. and is 33 inches long. That puts here in the 25th percentile for height and 10th percentile for weight.
One of the things the doctor asked about is language. She said she likes to see two year olds have a vocabulary of at least 100 words and be able to put together three and four word sentences. This morning, I was thinking about all the words we hear Sophia say on a regular basis these days, and wondered if it is at least 100. I was sure of it, but decided to write down several, quickly, to see where she is.

Wow! 100 words. And it didn't take us long to come up with this list. The other good news is that this list is not complete, it's simply 100 of the words she's using now. She knows many more! She's also getting pretty good at putting short sentences together. We are so proud of her!
In other news, we are going to a birthday party in a little while for one of Sophia's NICU neighbors. Raedyn was born a couple of weeks after Sophia, and had to stay in the NICU for a while. Raedyn and her family live relatively close to us, which we discovered while talking one cold night in the hospital. I am happy that we've been able to stay in touch!
And, just for fun, a cute photo of Sophia from today...
