baby got skillz...

Most of you know that Sophia was born eight weeks premature. One of the results of that early birth is often a bit of a 'delay' in reaching milestones. For instance, Sophia is eight and a half months old, and has only very recently (last week) begun to roll from her tummy to her back. This is HUGE for us. We've been working with a physical therapist to help her catch up on things like rolling over, sitting up, reaching and grabbing. The fact that Sophia can now roll over from her tummy is good and *bad*! We wanted her to roll over so badly. But, now that she can, she doesn't stay in tummy time, which she still needs to do to build her strength. However, we are grateful for this progress, and wanted to provide photographic evidence of the achievement of this milestone. Enjoy!

OK. Here we go. I'm on my tummy. How do I get to my back? Gotta push up a little bit.... Gotta tilt my head to the side.....

OK. Almost there. Gotta push this arm back a little further.... Gotta lean back really hard....

SUCCESS!!!!

We're so proud of you, Sophia!
